We STILL have fresh frozen Black Currants and Elderberries from 2021 crop - if you are interested...email: email@example.com or call 1-608-732-3400
PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT on my Facebook page: Go to https://www.facebook.com/lancashirefarms/
and click on the "BOOK NOW" button to see available times and I'll confirm if you can pick at that time or suggest another time or date, if that date has the limit on pickers for that specific crop. NOTE: Black Currants, Aronia, and Elderberry should have NO limit on the number of people that can pick this year, but Raspberry is probably only 1 Person a day (possibly strawberries)
Here are some of our berries we will be available for the "pick your own section"
I dare you to research a few of these berries, especially currants, Aronia, Goji, and Elderberry. Several Universities and even old cultural stories tell of the chemical and medicinal healing/healthy properties of these berries. If you are an American, you most likely enjoy the health benefits and taste of blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, but if you could add some serious percentage of vitamin C and other healthy minerals to your smoothie, why not?
We aim to grow everything organically. Although not officially certified organic yet (hopefully all paperwork will be done later (anyone want to help with that?) and yes it's pricey, that's a good reason to buy them cheaper now) - we aim to use all organic fertilizer, mulch, and other weed preventers for better products. Good old hand-weeding almost put me in the hospital in 2018. Therefore, our U Pick section is not going to be HUGE in the first few years, but Raspberries, Elderberry, Aronia, and Goji berries (and Grapes by 2020-2021) should be large enough. There are no promises, because first come, first serve has to be our policy. However, every plant ripens at a different time, so grab what you can, when you can, and have a few hours of family open air fun.
Here's are a few articles to help peak your interest in healthy berries:
